Event Description:
AVIVA is pleased to host a three-day intensive workshop series focused on enhancing relational communication skills for all audiences. This event is designed for individuals seeking to improve their interpersonal interactions, whether in personal life, community involvement, or professional settings. Participants will engage in interactive sessions that cover fundamental and advanced concepts of relational communication.
Day 1 – Foundations of Relational Communication:
The first day introduces the basics of relational communication, including the importance of active listening, verbal and nonverbal communication cues, and emotional awareness. Morning sessions feature presentations and group discussions on how communication shapes relationships and impacts well-being. In the afternoon, practical exercises encourage participants to practice attentive listening and provide constructive feedback.
Day 2 – Empathy and Emotional Intelligence:
Day two focuses on building empathy and emotional intelligence, crucial components of effective relational communication. Workshops explore how to recognize and manage one’s emotions while understanding those of others. Role-playing activities allow attendees to experience different perspectives and develop compassionate responses. The day concludes with a group reflection to share insights and personal experiences.
Day 3 – Conflict Resolution and Assertiveness:
The final day equips participants with strategies for managing conflict and communicating assertively. Through case studies and simulations, attendees learn how to approach disagreements constructively and express their needs respectfully. The closing session offers a guided discussion on applying these skills in daily life, followed by a Q&A with trainers.
Throughout the event, participants will receive resource materials including handouts, exercises, and recommended readings to support continued learning. This workshop series is ideal for community members, educators, social workers, and anyone interested in strengthening their relational skills in a supportive environment.
